Donna Joseph and Pete Tobiason are the principals of Rhodes-Joseph & Tobiason Advisors,
www.rjtadvisors.com, an independent Employee Benefits advisory firm helping brokers,
vendors and other service providers, mid-size and large Employers, and Employee Benefits
professionals. They deliver value to their clients through creative and innovative solutions
to Employee Benefits challenges, bringing an experienced and independent employer
perspective. They offer advisory services, M&A transactional support, staff training and
coaching for benefits professionals’ career growth.
Donna Joseph founded and leads the company. Both she and co-founder Pete Tobiason
come from executive careers with ITT Corporation, a leading global multi-industry
company. At ITT, both were employee benefit leaders – designing, managing and
communicating all aspects of Employee Benefits programs. They each have over 30 years
experience working with complex benefits programs both in the U.S. and globally and bring
deep and broad based knowledge and skills to their clients. They are well known and
highly regarded active leaders in the benefits community.
Donna Joseph held a number of executive positions at ITT, including Director of Employee
Benefits. She represented ITT on the Foreign Benefits Study Group and served on the Board
of Directors of the American Benefits Council, a Washington DC based association focused
on the interests of Employers and their benefit plans. Donna holds a Bachelor of Arts from
Boston University.
Pete Tobiason was the Assistant General Counsel – Employee Benefits at ITT, responsible
for global Employee benefit compliance. A leader of ERIC, the ERISA Industry Committee,
he most recently served as Chair of the Board of Directors of the organization which
represents the interests of major Employers on Employee Benefits legislation and policy.
Pete holds an A.B. degree from Columbia University and a Juris Doctorate from the
University of Pennsylvania Law School.
